The sizing stand decides the finished diameter. It is the last place the tube is touched before it is cut, so this is where roundness and wall thickness uniformity are won or lost.
Why it matters on the line
- Holds the finished OD, so this is where the customer measures the tube
- Worked with a much harder surface than the forming rolls because it carries no forming load, only correcting load
- The most frequently replaced item on the mill, which is why we keep common sizes in stock
- Supplied single, in pairs, or as a complete sizing set matched to your stand layout
What we supply
| Item | What we hold to | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Finished OD | As your pass line drawing | This is the number the customer measures |
| Hardness | HRC 60–64 with a hard alloy or powder coated surface | A soft sizing roll wears out of round |
| Roundness tolerance | Per your specification | Decided by the roll diameter and the number of stands |
| Delivery | Common sizes in stock, others to order | A worn sizing roll stops the line |
Every item is machined in our own workshop and marked before it is packed, so it goes back to the stand it came from. If you send us a drawing or a sample we work to that; if you are not sure what you need, send us the mill model and the pass line and we will tell you.

Send us the drawing or the sample
A drawing, a photo with a ruler in frame, or the mill model is enough for us to quote and to tell you honestly whether the item should be reground or replaced.
