What the MR76 flying saw does
Supplied in light duty, standard and heavy duty builds, separated by wall range rather than by frame. The light duty version suits thin structural tube; the heavy duty version takes the full 4.5 mm wall.
The MR76 sits in the timing belt high speed flying saw category. A positive-drive synchronous belt carries the saw carriage instead of a gear rack. No slip, no re-tensioning, less noise, and a much lighter carriage that reaches speed faster. This is the saw for thin wall, small diameter and high speed lines.

What comes with the machine
- Saw carriage — servo driven traverse, sized for the cut length you quote.
- Clamping — pneumatic for the small sizes, hydraulic for the heavy wall machines.
- Saw head — HSS / TCT, with the blade tensioner and the cooling arrangement.
- Control — servo drive and a controller that holds the cut length within tolerance across the full speed range.
- Guard and extraction — enclosed cutting with chip extraction.
Where it is normally installed
Flying saws sit on the exit side of the sizing stand, where the tube has already reached its final dimension and is moving at line speed. That position is what makes the cut square and the length accurate: the saw tracks the moving tube rather than stopping it. We will confirm the station layout with your mill arrangement, including the run-out table and where the cut tube goes afterwards.

Questions buyers ask about the MR76
What tube sizes does the MR76 cut?
The MR76 cuts round tube from Ø32 – Ø89, square section up to 70 × 70 mm and wall from 1.2 to 4.5 mm. Larger sizes and heavier walls move up to the next model in the range.
How fast does it cut?
Line speed 80 m/min, and the cut length runs from 3,000 – 12,000 mm. Actual length accuracy depends on the encoder, the clamp and the carriage speed being matched to your line speed.
Which saw blade should I use?
HSS / TCT. HSS is the economical choice for thin wall and general carbon steel; TCT lasts longer and holds an edge better on harder material and thicker wall.
What does the saw motor size mean?
The saw motor is the one doing the cutting. 15 – 22 kW on this machine, with the carriage on 15 kW servo and feed on 2.9 kW servo. The three are matched as a set; you cannot upgrade one of them on its own.
Can this saw be added to an existing mill?
Yes. Send us the mill model, the tube OD range and the line speed, and we will confirm the foundation, the power supply and the control interface before you commit.
Is this model available with a twin blade arrangement?
The twin blade coordinate type exists for the same size range and is worth considering if your wall is at the heavy end of the specification. We will tell you honestly which one is the better economic choice for your duty.
