A roller assembly is the roll, the shaft, the bearing housing and the seal, built and matched so it drops into the stand instead of being rebuilt on site.
Why it matters on the line
- Delivered as a matched assembly: roll, shaft, bearing housing and seal, ready to fit
- The shaft and the bearing are the parts that fail when a roll is fitted badly, so they are matched to the roll
- This is the sensible way to buy a replacement when the mill is not one we built
- We build to the drawing or to the sample assembly, and we mark the assembly so it goes back to the same stand
What we supply
| Item | What we hold to | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Components | Roll, shaft, bearing housing, seal | Bought as one matched unit |
| Bearing fit | To your housing drawing | A press fit that is wrong will not seat |
| Marking | Mill and stand number on the assembly | So it returns to the right stand |
| Supply basis | Drawing or sample assembly | Sample assemblies are welcome |
Every item is machined in our own workshop and marked before it is packed, so it goes back to the stand it came from. If you send us a drawing or a sample we work to that; if you are not sure what you need, send us the mill model and the pass line and we will tell you.

Send us the drawing or the sample
A drawing, a photo with a ruler in frame, or the mill model is enough for us to quote and to tell you honestly whether the item should be reground or replaced.
