The flower pattern is the shape the strip is folded into, pass by pass. It decides the whole pass line, and it is the one thing on a tube mill that cannot be changed once the rolls are cut.
Why it matters on the line
- The folding sequence that takes flat strip to a finished tube, pass by pass
- Decided once, at the design stage, and it cannot be changed once the rolls are cut
- We work it out from your tube size, your strip width and your material grade, not from a template
- The design is the starting point for every roll in the pass line, which is why we do it before anything is machined
What we supply
| Item | What we hold to | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Input | Tube OD, wall, strip width, grade | Nothing else can be worked out without these |
| Output | Pass by pass profile and roll dimensions | The input to every roll on the mill |
| Number of passes | Matched to the roll load you allow | More passes means less wear per roll |
| Basis | Your product, not a standard size | A standard flower pattern rarely fits a real product |
Every item is machined in our own workshop and marked before it is packed, so it goes back to the stand it came from. If you send us a drawing or a sample we work to that; if you are not sure what you need, send us the mill model and the pass line and we will tell you.

Send us the drawing or the sample
A drawing, a photo with a ruler in frame, or the mill model is enough for us to quote and to tell you honestly whether the item should be reground or replaced.
