What the MR60T flying saw does
Ø76 at 3.5 mm wall is close to the practical ceiling of a belt drive, and the MR60T is built exactly there: a heavier carriage servo, a bigger blade and a stiffer clamp, still on the same toothed belt.
Where the MR50T stops, the MR60T takes over with a Ø450 blade and a 15 kW carriage servo. The belt is the same principle but a wider section, because the carriage mass has gone up and the acceleration has to stay. This is the last size where we recommend the belt at 3.5 mm wall; beyond it the rack machine is the more economical answer.
Technical specifications
| Model | Round tube OD | Square section | Wall thickness | Line speed | Cut length | Saw blade | Carriage motor | Saw motor | Feed motor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MR60T | Ø25 – Ø76 | 20 – 60 | 1.0 – 3.5 | 150 | 2,000 – 12,000 | HSS / TCT Ø450 | 15 kW servo | 11 kW | 2.9 kW servo |
What comes with the machine
- Belt-driven carriage — toothed belt on a hardened rail, tensioned at the factory and checked on site.
- Clamping — pneumatic on the small sizes, hydraulic from Ø76 upwards.
- Saw head — HSS / TCT Ø450, with blade tensioner and coolant arrangement.
- Control — servo drive and a controller that holds cut length across the full speed range.
- Guard and extraction — enclosed cutting with chip extraction.
Where it is normally installed
The saw sits on the exit side of the sizing stand, where the tube has reached its final dimension and is still moving at line speed. That position is what makes the cut square and the length accurate: the carriage tracks the moving tube instead of stopping it. We confirm the station layout against your mill arrangement, including the run-out table and where the cut tube goes next.

Questions buyers ask about the MR60T
Is 3.5 mm wall really the limit for the belt?
For this model, yes. The limitation is not the belt strength but the carriage acceleration needed to keep up at 150 m/min on that wall. Above 3.5 mm we quote the MR76 in the rack range.
Why does the carriage servo jump to 15 kW?
Carriage mass roughly doubles between the MR50T and the MR60T. The larger servo keeps the acceleration and therefore the cycle time where it was.
Can it cut galvanised tube without damaging the coating?
Yes, with TCT tooling and the right clamp pressure. The cut face is clean enough that the galvanised layer next to it does not burn off.
Need roll tooling, a flying cold saw, or a complete tube mill line?
