What tube sizes does the MR377 cut?

The MR377 cuts round tube from Ø140 – Ø377, square section up to 100 – 300 mm and wall from 3.0 to 15.0 mm. Larger sizes and heavier walls move up to the next model in the range.

How fast does it cut?

Line speed 35 m/min, and the cut length runs from 4,000 – 12,000 mm. Actual length accuracy depends on the encoder, the clamp and the carriage speed being matched to your line speed.

Which saw blade should I use?

HSS / TCT. HSS is the economical choice for thin wall and general carbon steel; TCT lasts longer and holds an edge better on harder material and thicker wall.

What does the saw motor size mean?

The saw motor is the one doing the cutting. 22 kW × 2 on this machine, with the carriage on 45 kW servo and feed on 4.4 kW × 2. The three are matched as a set; you cannot upgrade one of them on its own.

What the MR377M milling cut-off does

The step where the machine becomes a gantry. Ø377 with 15 mm wall is a serious cut, and it is the reason twin-blade milling exists as a product at all.

At this diameter a single saw blade would have to be enormous, and enormous blades are slow, expensive and hard to keep square. The MR377M uses two smaller blades on a gantry that follows the tube, so the blade cost per cut stays sensible and the cut stays square at 15 mm wall. Solar tracker posts, transmission towers and large structural hollow section are the products this machine was bought for, again and again.

What comes with the machine

Twin-blade milling head — two blades share the cut, so heavy wall stays economical and the face comes off square.

Where it is normally installed

Like every flying cut-off, the machine sits on the exit side of the sizing stand and travels with the tube. The difference is the cutting path: the head mills around the section, which takes a little longer per cut and buys the ability to cut diameters and walls no single-blade saw can touch economically.
