What the MR76T flying saw does
The most quoted model in the belt range. Built in light, standard and heavy variants, and the variant is chosen by the wall you run, not by the frame size.
At Ø89 the belt drive is still the better answer as long as the wall stays under 4 mm, because the line speed of 120 m/min is what the customer is buying. The three variants differ in clamp force and saw motor: 15 kW for tube under 2.5 mm, 22 kW where the wall climbs towards 4 mm. The frame, the rails and the belt section are common to all three, so a later upgrade is a component change rather than a new machine.
Technical specifications
| Model | Round tube OD | Square section | Wall thickness | Line speed | Cut length | Saw blade | Carriage motor | Saw motor | Feed motor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MR76T | Ø32 – Ø89 | 25 – 70 | 1.0 – 4.0 | 120 | 2,000 – 12,000 | HSS / TCT | 15 kW servo | 15 – 22 kW | 2.9 kW servo |
What comes with the machine
- Belt-driven carriage — toothed belt on a hardened rail, tensioned at the factory and checked on site.
- Clamping — pneumatic on the small sizes, hydraulic from Ø76 upwards.
- Saw head — HSS / TCT, with blade tensioner and coolant arrangement.
- Control — servo drive and a controller that holds cut length across the full speed range.
- Guard and extraction — enclosed cutting with chip extraction.
Where it is normally installed
The saw sits on the exit side of the sizing stand, where the tube has reached its final dimension and is still moving at line speed. That position is what makes the cut square and the length accurate: the carriage tracks the moving tube instead of stopping it. We confirm the station layout against your mill arrangement, including the run-out table and where the cut tube goes next.

Questions buyers ask about the MR76T
Which variant of the MR76T do I need?
Light for wall under 2.5 mm, standard up to about 3 mm, heavy for 3 to 4 mm. Send the wall range and the line speed and we will confirm the variant in the quotation.
Why only 120 m/min when the smaller models do 160?
Carriage mass. To hold length accuracy at Ø89 the carriage has to be heavier, and 120 m/min is where the belt drive still accelerates it fast enough.
Can it be upgraded later?
Yes. Frame, rails and belt section are common across the three variants, so moving up is a clamp and motor change rather than a new machine.
